Bamboo Bangle

I met a friend for drinks last week, she was wearing an adorable set of bamboo bangles by John Hardy. I can't drop $350.00 on bangles at the moment, but I may be able to splurge on this faux gold set for $14.99! They look great alone, or layered with other bracelets. (this image above isn't bamboo but this is the look of a simple bangle)

These would be my first choice!! Available here.
The $14.99 option!

wish list

I really don't have much of a wish list this year but I would like a new ring for myself! I am actually going to start my very own ring fund and I may just buy one of these beauties..my real wish, besides the obvious {health and happiness for myself and family} is to buy a little bungalow for my children and I this year! The two rings above are my favorite!! These are from the Sundance Catalog. I was very impressed with their selection this year. Do you have a favorite? I think I would go with the Druzy ring, {1st one} it's more affordable and wouldn't be mistaken for an engagement ring.

simply darling

I love brooches, they're so timeless aren't they? I'm not a huge collector but think I could be happy owning an array of large vintage {or new} brooches. I loved the idea of attaching one to the outside of a wrapped gift. {the gift doesn't necessarily have to be wrapped in a shirt, you could use any simple paper}. even better if the treat inside {like this adorable jacket} went with the brooch.

Evergreen

I never tire of this fresh, fabulous shade! Hoping your holiday season is shiny and bright so far! I spent the weekend in Vermont, it was beautiful there this weekend. I snapped a quick snowy photo of my little ones. {not easy with a three year and ten month old}. I'll share it once my cards go out. How precious is this simple little tree?

Elva Fields, Any of this designer's necklaces are at the TOP of my wish list!
The benches, rug and credenza are all so gorgeous! Very my taste right now!

I just used a yummy velvet chesterfield sofa on a project! I will own one myself someday. This sofa literally envelopes you but is so chic at the same time!

dear santa,

Seriously, all I really desire for christmas is one of these pieces by jeweler Marcia Moran, {the stackable rings may be number one, but who asked?}.  Don't you love how the blogging world works? It's so inspiring isn't it? I popped over to one of my daily's today StarFish and Sundresses {she often posts about some of my favorites..} and was reading about her amazing "for the jewel box gift guide". I came across Marcia's work, and was hooked. So when people ask, do you ever get tired of blogging? I then think of all the incredibly talented, supportive, kind, creative people I am exposed to on a daily basis, my answer: NEVER. Have a good day!

Bling, Bling

When it comes to jewels, it doesn't get much better then restyled vintage. {well I guess I'd take a new Cartier Tank Watch, but who asked? right}  I stumbled upon Jenny Schretter's, SBella jewelry line via Starfish and Sundresses yesterday and I was hooked. The designer is from Boston? who knew? clearly not me. Jenny uses vintage gems, crystal, chains and rhinestones to create one of kind beauties..and with names like Daisy, Edith, Sylvia and Thelma you really can't go wrong.

A bit of chic...

Happy Friday! Such a great day isn't it? knowing you have the entire weekend ahead of you to kick-back or whoop it up? I discovered a new favorite blog this week..Walking Around Where the Side Walk Begins, not sure how I missed this one..but she's got fabulous taste and a great eye. It's also where I discovered the amazingly chic jewelry pictured, the talented creator behind this gorgeous handmade jewelry line is Amber Venz.

I truly think the chicest women of all aren't afraid to get their hands a bit dirty or their brow a bit sweaty!! When I studied in Milan, I was in awe of all the uber fashionable women on bikes..{in 80+ weather} these images just prove my point!

Happy Weekend!

Sunny Side Up..

{be sure to check out Elva Fields new Spring collection. swoon.}

the weather report in Boston is looking grim for the next few days...I'm counting the days till Spring {although it doesn't truly warm up here until May} but at least we're heading in that direction! I find yellow so uplifting, I prefer to use hints of this color rather then swathe an entire room in the hue!
I've long admired the Darryl Carter room {image 1} pictured. I have a photo of the entire room someplace, if I find it, I'll post it. The yellow painting was actually the impetus for one I created in my own home. {will post soon}. That fabulous pop of yellow is the perfect backdrop for such a glamorous chandelier!

I cannot lie, I'm so loving little girl clothes right now..
