Designer Digs - Elie Saab
![]() |
I love catching a sneak peek inside of designer's homes. They usually don't disappoint. I was viewing Elie Saab's Spring couture collection and had remembered his beautiful homes ...they are as stunning as his elegant fashions. So here's a look into the Lebanese born, Parisian designer's Parisian and Lebanon digs.. they both mix elegant with masculine, old with new. The interplay of modern and classical architectural details are gorgeous. Both interiors were designed by Chakib Richani. |

Welcome back DARA!!
ONE WORD
Most of you have probably heard of or love {like I do} the work of photographer extraordinaire Slim Aarons. He is best known for capturing beautiful people enjoying the "good life". His use of light, attention to detail and architectural backdrops are stunning. His three books listed below are on my wish list! I'm always looking to build my design library!
Girly Moments..

I have loved this room from the moment it was feaured in Domino. {Ashley Stark's home}

Cozy Chic..
I'm loving ALL things organic and cozy lately. Jennifer Aniston's home in March's issue of Architectural Digest is no exception! The two year renovation turned out a welcoming, uber- stylish home with just the right amount of old Hollywood Glamour! LOVE..............it.
My bags are packed....
I'll keep this short and sweet since I'm leaving for the hospital to have my baby {eek} in about twenty minutes. First off, thank you for all your kind messages, baby name suggestions and well wishes over the past week! I appreciate every one of them!!
Secondly, I thought I'd leave you with a little eye candy while I'm gone...I don't know about you, but I am definitely a bit weary of the over the top "Hollywood Regency" look.. What never grows old though is a sense of fabulous, sophisticated style. The home pictured below is the epitome of chic but still contains a sense of calm, order and fun! Enjoy and Cheers....I'll be back to posting in about a week or two!!!! Julie
New York designer Philip Gorrivan helped Victoria Webster with her home. I've long admired his use of color and ability to mix period pieces and patterns.
