| Good photography plays such a key role in capturing a designers overall vision. I love discovering and perusing photographer's sites. Jean Randazzo has a great eye. All of her compositions are beautifully composed and layered. She also has the ability to capture the luminescent qualities of natural light. I spy a number of designer's here, don't you? |

Exciting news
First, my brother - le Photographe - who took this great photo of Corto, his French bulldog, had one of his shots published on a double-page spread (!) in Focus, a Dutch photography magazine (imagine the feeling when you first see your work published in a national mag!).
Then a magazine contacted me to shoot our holidays home in France and Steve's tree house.
This morning, coming back from his run, Steve found a lovely, shabby white wardrobe which is just perfect for our newly painted lounge and on the work-front, I've been getting some really good CVs this week for these two positions. So now I'm really excited to meet everyone for the first round of interviews because I have big plans for BODIE and FOU and I can't wait to get started with a cool, enthusiastic team to make them happen!
My home in London
My family moodboard is shaping up...
I don't want to frame every single photo because I want to retain the informal vibe that our family home has and I like the white space between each photo so right now, I just let it sink.

Inspiring stylism
PS:
I've enrolled to Holly's course Blogging Your Way to get better at this time-consuming but yet inspiring & addictive hobby and consequently I have made a few tweakings to my About page. If you have 2 min, I would be hugely grateful if you could read it and let me know what you think. Merci

PS:
Merci
The following day...
Happy Valentine's Day!

Don't you love gardlands?? I love them! Especially in Winter....Apparently it is going to snow on Monday....yippee for a white Christmas :-)

Sunday evening
I finished painting my bedroom wall. I should be feeling happy but I'm tired and a bit down. It's cold and dark outside and it's Sunday evening. I just had a chat on facebook with my best friend Manu who lives in Paris. I can't wait to see her in January. This beautiful image of Lauren Ward reminds me of her so this is for her and for all the best friends out there.
photography inspires art...

I was lost in France yesterday...
...well, lost in blogland that it. I went from one beautiful blog to another and ended up chez Labo'M* where I discovered Hipstamatic, an I-phone app that brings back the look and feel of Lomo and Polaroid...If you love photography like me and have an i-phone, you will love this app. On the contrary, if you haven't an i-phone (sorry Lau), you will probably be just really annoyed with me :-(
*Emy makes beau-ti-ful paper garlands by the way...

The impossible project
Last month, I received an email from Ella Sverdlov who won the Best polaroid contest organized by Blur magazine and The Impossible project. Ella told me that Polaroid always gives her a sense of peace and winning The Impossible Project encouraged her to open her Etsy shop.
| “ | Nothing is original. Steal from anywhere that resonates with inspiration or fuels your imagination. Devour old films, new films, music, books, paintings, photographs, poems, dreams, random conversations, architecture, bridges, street signs, trees, clouds, bodies of water, light and shadows. Select only things to steal from that speak directly to your soul. If you do this, your work (and theft) will be authentic. Authenticity is invaluable; originality is nonexistent. And don’t bother concealing your thievery — celebrate it if you feel like it. In any case, always remember what Jean-Luc Godard said: “It’s not where you take things from — it’s where you take them to.” —Jim Jarmusch, The Golden Rules of Filming | ” |
Because I love a transformation!
